Open is an innovative project developed by Teo Musso “to shake the world of Italian craft beers. Our Open project is inspired by the open source approach and is based on sharing” (from “Baladin. La Birra artigianale è tutta colpa di Teo” – Baladin. Craft beer is all Teo’s fault – published by Feltrinelli). It all began with a beer, called Open, launched in 2008 as the first open source Italian Beer. Its recipe, with the right quantities for homebrewers, was published and made available to all on the Web. The goal was to share a recipe which would create interest among the public and help spread the idea of Italian craft beer. Starting from the Open idea, pubs and bars devoted to dissemination of the culture of Italian craft beer were later opened. Open Baladin Cuneo is the third of its kind after Turin and Rome. It offers a very wide range of accurately selected draught and bottled beer (100). Beer is the core element and the soul of the place revolves around it: a large bar, more than 9 m long, will have 32 taps, including 2 for hand pumped beers. In addition to Baladin products, guests will find other Italian craft beer which will rotate during the year. The area around Cuneo hosts several major craft breweries, which means that a large part of the products served at Open Baladin Cuneo will come from local producers.

Open Baladin Cuneo has a hidden gem for all homebrewers… BALADIN OPEN LAB, the first lab for homebrewers created in cooperation with the historic distributor of home brewing products: Mr. Malt. A 30 square meter room equipped for the production of 50 liters of beer with a Braumeister plant will be available on Mondays - with prior reservation. Beer lovers will have the chance to buy the ingredients by Mr. Malt. During the work, a member of staff from Open Baladin will be available to help and support homebrewers.
